All about gals..written a long time ago

I waited for a time
That would dispel the pain
It accrued in me ..
and told me pal I want to stay

Tried in vain to drive it away
Indulged in transient pleasures
Led my self in harms way..
Then, there came a day..
I saw a scintillating ray

It seemed to assuage the pain..
Weaned me from the intoxicating pleasures..
Filled my life with the rainbow's colors
Intrigued by the beatitude I didn't see

There was more that came
Hidden in the glitter of that ray
I thought the ray drove my darkness away
But turned out the other way.

Now there is darkness again
Pain and sorrow again
I speak to myself and it says Friend I am here to Stay
